Choosing your yoga mat is extremely important, because you are placing most of your body weight on it, and will spend the entire class on the mat. Spending a little more money for a better mat is highly recommended. However, Target sells Yoga Mats for $20. The mat is fairly thin, but will do the trick until ready for a different mat.
I received my yoga mat from Gaiam and absolutely love it. The prices of mats range from $15-$25. The online site is constantly having sales, which allows the price of their items to decrease immensely. The image below is the exact replica I have and love.
